presented at the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL)
annual conference in Monterey, CA on November 4, 2005.
Dr. Shoham’s presentation, Scoring in SBA Lending Today,
explored topics ranging from how scores are created; the fundamental strategy for
lenders to maximize scoring’s profit-enhancing power, and a review of the
scoring landscape within SBA lending.
The NAGGL annual conference is the most anticipated event on
SBA lenders’ calendars. As the
leading association representing government guaranteed lenders, NAGGL has
educated lenders on critical topics, like scoring, for more than 25 years.
Dr. Shoham brings more than 20 years of experience in the statistical sciences to his role as CEO of Edgeware Analytics. After earning his PhD in Mathematics from Temple University in Philadelphia at age 21, Dr. Shoham was a Staff Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lincoln Laboratories, for eight years and a Principal Scientist and Product Director at HNC Software (now part of Fair Isaac Corporation) for another eight years. He founded Edgeware Analytics in 2003 to deliver the same powerful analytics enjoyed by consumer lending to the small business credit market.
